Add an Award

The guidance in this document will show you how you can create awards in your platform. This will include peer to peer awards.

  Ensure that the Award Types have been created as an initial step as you will need to select the Award Type when creating an award. Please refer to this guide for information on creating Award Types.

Step One

Navigate to the Communications are of the platform in MANAGE mode, then select the AWARDS tab. Here you will find the list of Awards in your platform.

🚀 If you are using our new menu feature, hover over the Communication section of the side-bar, then navigate to:

Manage ➡️ Awards

Select the ➕ next to Awards and skip to step three of this guide.

Step Two

To add a new award, click the ADD button to the right-hand side of your screen. This will open up the ADD AWARD pull-out drawer.

Step Three

The title of the award is what you would like the award to be called, and the description will provide a narrative as to what the award is for. This is helpful to employees when they are assigning an award to a peer via a custom feed.

The tag will populate automatically after you click away from the title field.

Step Four

You can select the award type in the Type of Award drop-down menu. Please ensure that you have created the award type prior to creating the award.

Selecting the award type will pre-populate the competency (to influence the employee's Success Circle), and award image which you are able to change should you so wish. Images help to personalise the award and make them distinguishable. 

 

Step Five

 

You can also associate the award with a certain number of points. This will help you to weight your awards so some are more desirable than others to achieve.

Points are used to assign the influence over the competency within the Success Circle. The higher the number, the more an award will change the overall competency.

  You can use our Reporting tools to report on employees with an overall score, or for a certain competency.

Step Five

To allow the award to be used by anyone within the business (peer to peer awards), toggle on the allow everyone to assign toggle. Otherwise, the award can only be allocated with those who have Manager permissions for the Comms module.

 

 

Step Six

Finally, use the toggles in the notification settings area to determine what emails are triggered when the award has been assigned.

  When an award has been assigned to an employee, notifications are sent to both the employee and their line manager.
