Sentiment Survey Template: Add*
Before posting a sentiment survey to the feed, you must first create the survey template as this is where you can create the question, recurrence, and anonymity amongst other configurable options.
Step One
Hover over the Comms section of the side-bar, then navigate to: Configuration ➡️ Survey Templates. Select the ➕ next to Survey Templates to open the ADD SURVEY TEMPLATE pop-up.
Step Two
Populate a title and description for the survey template. Best practice is to make the title the question or a reminder of the question. You may also wish to enter a tag which the survey post will inherit - using tags makes it easier to group content.
Step Three
Select the 'Sentiment Pulse' tile from the three survey types provided.
Step Four
Under the SURVEY QUESTION section of the form, you will be able to enter the question you wish to ask your employees. This is the question which the survey will use when you associate the post with this survey template.
You may wish to add some guidance in the description field to help your employees when they respond to the question.
Step Five
Finally, you can upload a main image to the survey template. When you create the survey itself, the post will inherit the image you apply here (although you can change/remove this later before publication).
Step Six
Under the SETTINGS area of the form, you can select the level of anonymity for the survey under the Report Results By drop-down menu.
Step Seven
Use the three toggles at the bottom of the form to configure the survey further.
The Ask for optional feedback toggle will allow the opportunity for the employee to elaborate on their response/selection. The anonymity level will apply to survey feedback, so if the survey is anonymous, then the optional feedback will also be anonymous.
The Survey should recur toggle will allow you to set a recurrence for the survey in days, months or years. Whereas the Survey should expire toggle will allow to create a cut-off point for survey responses.
For example: if you create a survey which recurs weekly, you may want to set an expiry for one week so that the previous survey expires as the new survey is automatically created.
Step Eight
Click the SAVE button in the bottom right-hand corner to finish creating the survey template.
Once the Survey Template has been used against a survey, the survey template cannot be amended. This is due to the fact that the Survey Template is reportable, and amending the questions would create issues with reporting.
