What is the difference between a training objective, and a validation objective?
As part of our latest training release, there are two new 'types' of objective: a training objective, and a validation objective.
Training Objectives are created by managers or employees (via self-service) to track participation in training courses. Marking a Training Objective as 'Complete' automatically adds the associated course to the employee's training log.
Validation Objectives are designed to evaluate the practical application of learned skills after completing a qualification. Managers use these objectives to determine if an employee can effectively apply their knowledge. The outcome may lead to adjustments in the employee's skill level (if applicable) or a recommendation to retake the course.
