Two-Factor Authentication v.1.33.0

We deliver these releases to improve your experience and the value, functionality, and features of StaffCircle.

This release update provides you with a brief, high-level description of any new and updated features along with any bugs that have been fixed.

TLDR; We've introduced two-factor authentication as an added layer of security for non-Microsoft or Google SSO users.

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (Organisation)

Within Settings>Security & Data* there is now a tab called "Authentication Settings". Here you can enable the requirement for two-factor authentication to be set up by your users.

Following two-factor authentication being enabled, when a user that accesses the platform with a username and password clicks "login", they will be redirected to a set-up page to link an authentication app with StaffCircle.

Step One: Select an authentication application to use.

Step Two: Copy the key or scan the QR code from the StaffCircle set-up page.

Step Three: Enter the verification code provided by the authenticator app and click "VERIFY". You will be logged into the platform.

Resetting Two-Factor Authentication

Should a device or account become lost, stolen, changed or compromised, two-factor authentication can be reset on an individual user basis.

Go to People & Groups>People>Select Person>Security* and click "RESET 2FA". Any login sessions will be ended and the user can complete the set-up process again.
