Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) v.1.43.0

We deliver these updates to enahnce your experience with StaffCircle, improving its value, functionality, and features.

This update will give you a quick overview of new features, enhancements, and fixes we've included.

TLDR; A new feature within the Holidays & Absence module is available for logging time off in lieu. We've also updated several areas of the platform with minor improvements to complete our recent competency framework release.

Time Off In Lieu (TOIL)

To continue the improvement of our Holidays & Absence module, we have implemented a logging mechanism and supporting reports for customers to log time off in lieu for their employees.

Enabling TOIL 

As an administrator, use the search bar: "holiday settings" or go to Holidays & Absence>Configuration>Settings, and toggle on Enable TOIL.

This feature provides:

• a logging mechanism for Managers to state the start and end date of the accrued time, how many hours were working during the period and any notes to support the log.
• auto-addition of time off to an employees allowance, ensuring their experience of booking holidays remains the same.
• 'Number of Hours Per Day' field on the working pattern to support half day and full day calculations.
• in-platform TOIL report to show logs, in both hours and days.
• updated Absence Summary and Holiday Usage reports to include accrued TOIL days.

Logging TOIL 

As a Manager, to log accrued time off for your employees, go to the Time Off section in their record and to the TOIL tab.

From here you can review any previous accrued time off logs, or add new ones.

Reporting on TOIL

If you've got access to the in-platform reports for Holidays & Absence we've updated the Absence Summary and Holiday Usage reports to include accrued time, and introduced a new report specifically for TOIL logs.

Additional Release Items

• PWA update to remove sticky-scrolling in Objectives and Reviews.
• Additional role hover overs to show description.
• Additional Search Terms to support Competency Framework and Holidays & Absence terminology.
• The Skill Gap Key, found on the Succession Planning Dashboard and Skills Gap Stats Dashboard has been updated to combined "Skill Missing" and "Level Not Set" to "Not Assessed".
• Users viewing the Succession Planning Dashboard will see a new pathway column that populates with an icon when the employee has selected a next role on their career development plan. It will show their avatar, role, career statement, most recent training log, objective and review with a re-route to their record.
