Probation Review Questions
You should use probation reviews as an opportunity to provide feedback to the employee, and assess their performance during the early stages of their employment.
We recommend having onboarding and probation meetings with a new employee in the first week, then subsequent meetings in months one, two, and three.
Check out the StaffCircle University for guidance on completing reviews with StaffCircle.
Alternatively, you can refer to this section of our knowledge base for guidance on creating reviews within the platform.
You may wish to consider the following questions for your probation reviews:
- How do you feel you've adapted to the team and company culture during your probationary period?
- Can you share examples of specific accomplishments or projects you've contributed to since joining the company?
- Have you encountered any challenges or areas where you feel you could use additional support or resources?
- How have you demonstrated your skills and competencies in your role so far?
- Are there any training or development opportunities you believe would enhance your performance or career growth?
- Can you describe your experience collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders on various projects?
- How well do you feel your work aligns with the organization's values and goals?
- Have you received any feedback from colleagues or supervisors that you'd like to discuss?
- What do you consider your strengths, and how have you leveraged them in your role?
- Are there specific areas where you think you could improve or develop further?
- How do you manage your time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and expectations?
- What goals did you set for yourself during your probationary period, and how close do you feel you've come to achieving them?
- Can you provide examples of instances where you've demonstrated problem-solving skills or creativity in your work?
- How have you embraced opportunities to learn and grow within your role and the organization?
- Have you encountered any obstacles in understanding company policies or procedures? How did you overcome them?
- What aspects of your role do you find most fulfilling, and are there areas you'd like to explore further?
- How well do you feel you've integrated into the team, and do you have any suggestions for improving teamwork and communication?
- Can you describe your interactions with clients or customers and your ability to meet their needs?
- How do you envision your career path within the organization beyond your probationary period?
- Is there anything else you'd like to discuss or any questions you have about your role or the company moving forward?
