Performance Review Questions

A performance review assesses an employee's work performance, accomplishments, strengths, areas for improvement, and contributions to the organisation. Typically, performance reviews occur periodically, such as annually or bi-annually, and involve a comprehensive discussion about the employee's performance over a specific time frame. 

Performance reviews are a great way to assess progress against the employee's objectives, and within StaffCircle the employee's open objectives will display to the Reviewer (if the review has been configured this way).

Conducting reviews within StaffCircle provides a documented history of progress and performance, which can be useful for future reference, reporting, and analysis.

Examples of questions you may wish to include for your performance reviews are:

  1. How effectively did you meet the objectives set for this performance period?
  2. Can you provide specific examples of projects or tasks where you demonstrated exceptional skills or performance?
  3. In what areas have you seen the most personal and professional growth since the last review?
  4. How well have you contributed to team collaboration and communication during this period?
  5. Can you share instances where you've taken initiative or gone above and beyond your regular responsibilities?
  6. Have you encountered any challenges or obstacles in your role, and how did you address them?
  7. How have you demonstrated the company's core values in your daily work and interactions?
  8. What training or development opportunities have you pursued, and how have they influenced your performance?
  9. How effectively do you manage your time and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and expectations?
  10. Are there any specific areas where you believe you could improve your performance or acquire additional skills?
  11. How do you receive and incorporate feedback from colleagues, clients, or supervisors?
  12. How have you contributed to enhancing processes, workflows, or efficiency within your team or department?
  13. Can you provide examples of how you've contributed to customer satisfaction or client relationships?
  14. How do you see your role evolving within the team or organization in the coming year?
  15. Are there any support or resources you believe would help you excel even further in your role?
  16. How well have you demonstrated adaptability and the ability to handle change within your role?
