Manager Changes v.1.35.0

This release update provides you with a brief, high-level description of any new and updated features along with any bugs that have been fixed.

TLDR; When an employee changes manager, all of their open Reviews, Objectives and Holiday Requests will transfer to their new manager to action.

Enabling automatic Manager Changes

Enabling the Manager Change function is done via People & Groups>Configuration>Person Settings. You will see a toggle labelled "Automatic Manager Changes" and by setting this to 'on', any time the manager is changed on a person's record, any open Objectives and Reviews as well as pending Holiday and Absence requests will be transferred to the new manager.

How to kick-off a Manager Change

Person Record

One of the most common ways to change a Manager is via the person's record by updating the 'Employment Information' section. Once the Manager has been updated, the record has been saved and a change comment applied, you're then presented with a confirmation modal to confirm you're aware that automatic Manager Changes are enabled.

Integrations

If you utilise of the the integrations we have such as Microsoft or Google, when you sync your data the Manager field on a person record is updated with any changes. This will trigger an Employee Timeline event as well as the Manager Change automation.

Import

Another useful way to update people data into the platform is via the People Importer. Should you import a csv that contains a different manager to the one already assigned, the person record will be updated. This will trigger an Employee Timeline event as well as the Manager Change automation.

When a Manager Change takes place

Objectives, Reviews, Holidays and Absences will be assigned to the new manager straight away! The new manager will also get an email to advise that they've been assigned with a handy link to their new employee's profile*
