How can I assign an award via a comms post?

This guide will cover how you are able to assign an award (which is not considered a peer-to-peer award) as a comms post. These are awards where the Allow Everyone to Assign toggle has been switched off (please refer to this guide for further information).

These types of awards can only be assigned in the Comms module in MANAGE mode, therefore access is restricted to those who are able to use this area of the platform.

Step One

Navigate to the Comms area of the platform in MANAGE mode, then select the CONTENT tab.

Step Two

Click the ADD button to the far right-hand side of the page to open the CONTENT WIZARD pull-out drawer. Then select the AWARD tile.

Step Three

In the Select or add an award drop-down menu, you will be able to select the title of the award (the list will also contain the peer-to-peer awards).

The Person awarded drop-down, select the name of the employee you wish to assign to award to. In the notes about the award, you can elaborate on the reason why the award is being assigned (this will be made public).

Step Four

If you wish to post this award to the feed, make it public, and make everyone aware - activate the create content for the award toggle.

  If you wish to assign the award, but not create any surrounding content, simply untoggle the create content for the award toggle and click the ASSIGN AWARD button.

Step Five

If you are publicly posting this content to the feed, you will be able to use the audience settings to determine who will be able to see this award on the feed.

  The notification settings associated with the award will apply to the post. And those included in the audience will receive these notifications - even if the award has not been assigned to them.

Step Six

Click the PUBLISH button and determine whether you wish for the award to be posted immediately, or schedule this for a later time.

Once the audience is selected and the article has been published, the recipients will be able to like the Award Article.
