Security Permissions: People

This page covers the access changes that apply to each of the security permissions.

Add allows access to go to Manage > People and click 'Add' in the top right. They will limited ability to update areas of an employee record like adding a license or a benefit.


Delete allows access to go to Manage > People and delete an employee record. We recommend only super users have access to the functionality.


  Ideally the sensitive permission should be enabled for super users. When the 'Sensitive' permission is off, employees will not be able to access:

  • Survey Dashboards for E-NPS, Sentiment & Engagement in Manage > Communications > Dashboards.
  • Surveys by Person report in Manage > Communications > Reports.
  • Employee's Payroll Tab and sensitive licenses, benefits, etc in Manage > People > Click an employee record.
  • Employee Reports for Contractual Overview, Leavers, Payroll Overview & Salary Overview in Manage > People > Reports.

Update allows full edit ability of an employee's record in Manage > People.


View allows employees to access the people menu option. In Myself > People they will be able to see all employees in the business to give them awards or feedback.


When 'everyone' is toggled off then employees will only see employee records in Manage > People for staff who they are the direct manager for.

 


Import allows access to Admin > People > import tab. You must have the 'add' permission on as well.

This will also give you access to roles & custom fields in admin > people.


Export allows access in Manage > People > selecting employees through tick boxes then clicking 3 dots and 'export'.


Reports allows access to all the reports in Manage > People > Reports tab. You must give permission to 'add', 'update' or 'delete' to activate the manage tab to appear.

Sensitive reports will be padlocked and will not open if they do not have the sensitive permission enabled.

Please note that some of the reports will show all employees even if everyone permission is off. These are 'movers, departments & roles' & 'new starters'.

Dashboards & Groups which are tabs in Manage > People will be given access if you enable 'add', 'delete', 'update'.
