How do I save the app to my home screen?

When logging in to StaffCircle for the first time look out for the below banners that will appear at the bottom of your screen to give direction on how to add to the home screen on your device. 

IOS - Safari

Didn't see the banner? No problem, whilst on the platform follow these steps:

Step 1 - Tap the icon at the bottom of the browser that look like an arrow escaping out the top of a square. 

Step 2 - Tap 'Add to Home Screen' 

Step 3 - You will be prompted to give the app a name. Press Add and the icon for the StaffCircle PWA will appear on your home screen.

Android

Didn't see the banner? No problem, whilst on the platform follow these steps:

Step 1 - Tap the menu button in the upper right corner (three vertical dots) 

Step 2 - Tap 'Add to Home Screen'

Step 3 - You will be prompted to give the app a name. Press Add and the icon for the StaffCircle PWA will appear on your home screen.

Why is our app like this?

Our platform is a PWA or Progressive Web App which means that is a combination of a regular web app and regular app. We decided a PWA was most beneficial to our user due to some benefits:

• Works on low-quality networks
• Feels like an app
• Always up-to-date
• Uses HTTPS for security
• Enjoys features like push notifications on android devices
• Can be easily saved to home screen
• Can be easily shared, via URL

An app doesn't need to be downloaded from the store to get access but do remember to save to the home screen on your device so that you don't have to remember your bespoke URL in the future.
