August 2026 (1.50.3)

August 2026 V(1.50.3)

This release puts more control in your hands — start dates on reviews, archiving for roles, holiday booked in hours and a privacy setting for dates of birth — alongside a redesigned skills gap dashboard, sharper Notetaker summaries and a broad sweep of fixes across Absence, Objectives, Reviews and Insights.

Reviews now have a start date

Alongside the existing created and due dates, every review can be given a start date. Recurring reviews get their own start and due date for each occurrence, and are only assigned, made visible and notified from that date — so a review scheduled months ahead no longer appears in someone's list the moment it is set up.

Archive roles instead of deleting them

Roles can now be archived as well as deleted. An archived role is no longer available to assign, keeping your active role list clean as job titles evolve, while historic employment records that reference it stay completely intact. Deletion remains available for roles with no historical dependency.

Book holiday in hours

Where a policy is managed in hours, people can once again choose a date range and then specify exactly how many hours it should take from their allowance, rather than being charged a full day for each date. This is particularly useful for part-time and shift-based teams whose working days vary in length.

Hide dates of birth across the platform

A new setting in People & Groups lets you mask dates of birth on employee records, so managers and colleagues no longer see them on a person's profile or in the Who's Celebrating panel on the Today screen. A straightforward way to meet internal privacy expectations without removing the data.

Longer free-text survey answers

The character limit on free-text survey responses has been doubled from 500 to 1,000, giving people room to say what they actually mean without editing their answer down.

A clearer skills gap dashboard

The skills gap dashboard has been redesigned from the ground up. The layout is calmer, the numbers are easier to read at a glance, and it is far quicker to see where capability is missing across a team or the organisation.

Control whether pathway generation creates new skills

Generate Pathways can now be configured to work only with the skills you already have, rather than creating new ones as it goes. Role enrichment also counts the skills already assigned to a role — ask for six skills where two exist and you get four additions, drawn from your existing library wherever possible. Your skills list stays curated.

Priority can be set on objective templates

Objective templates now carry a priority field, so objectives created from a template arrive with the right priority already applied instead of needing to be set one by one.

A more usable AI prompt library

Saved AI Assistant prompts can now be duplicated as well as edited or deleted — copy an existing prompt from the list or from the edit dialog and it opens pre-filled as a new, independent prompt. Notetaker also now appears in the prompt listing, making its prompts easier to find alongside the rest.
