Assign a Skill to a Person

Even if you have associated a skill to a role or group, the skill still needs to be assigned at an indvidual level. This can be actioned when opening the individual's profile, or via the Skills Assessment element of a review.

This guide will detail how a skill can be assigned via the individual's profile as the skills assessment is conducted by the Reviewer of the review.

Step One

Navigate to People section of the platform in MANAGE mode. This will display a directory of all employees within the organisation.

🚀 If you are using our new menu feature, hover over the People section of the side-bar, then navigate to:

Manage  ➡️ People

Select the People title and proceed with step two.

Step Two

Select the name of the employee from the list to open up their profile.

Step Three

Select the Skills tab from the left-hand side bar to view the employee's associated skills.

If skills have been assigned to the employee's Role or Group, then these will appear at the top of the page. The plus button to the right and/or the '+ ASSIGN ALL SUGGESTED SKILLS' button will assign these to the employee alongside the recommended skill level for that skill.

Step Four

Once the skill has been assigned to the employee, the skill level for this skill can be set. Click the '+SET SKILL LEVEL' text next to the skill to open the SET SKILL LEVEL FOR [SKILL NAME] pop-up.

Using the example above, we can see that the required skill level for Analytics is two.

Step Five

Select the box which coincides with the employee's current skill level. Then click the SET SKILL LEVEL button to make this change.

This change will now reflect on the employee's profile.
