Assign a Skill to a Group
Assigning skills at a group level allows the individuals who are associated with group inherit these specific skills. This also helps to standardise the skill levels required for each skill associated with that group.
Step One
Navigate to the roles area of the platform by accessing the People module in MANAGE mode. Then select the GROUPS tab to open the list of groups used within your organisation.
🚀 If you are using our new menu feature, hover over the People section of the side-bar, then navigate to:
Manage ➡️Groups
Select the Groups title and proceed with step two.
Step Two
Choose the group name from the list to open the Group Details page.
Step Two
The SKILLS section can be see in the top right-hand corner of your screen. This is where you can add (and remove) skills associated with a group.
Step Three
Click on the pencil icon next to the skills heading, this will open up the SELECT SKILLS pull-out drawer to the right.
Step Four
Activate the toggles associated with the skills you wish to assign to the group. Likewise, to remove an associated skill, switch the toggle 'off'.
Step Five
Once you have finished adding or removing skills for the role, click the SAVE button in the bottom right-hand corner of the drawer.
Employees which are associated with this group will now inherit these skills, however they will still need to be assigned at an individual level. For further guidance on assigning skills at an employee level, please refer to this guide.
