9 Box Grid: Overview
The 9-box grid, also known as the Performance-Potential Matrix, is a visual tool used in talent management and succession planning. It categorizes individuals based on their performance levels and potential for growth within an organization. The grid consists of a 3x3 matrix, with performance levels typically represented on the vertical axis and potential on the horizontal axis.
The 9-box grid serves two primary purposes:

Performance Assessment: It helps assess an individual's current performance within the organisation.

Succession Planning and Talent Development: Identifying employees with high potential for growth and leadership roles.
The 9-box grid can be implemented alongside our Success Circle feature. Whilst the 9 Box Grid provides a snapshot of that employee's performance and potential at that moment in time, the Success Circles feature can be used to measure the employees contribution for the time in between.
